Aluminum Cuff Bracelet

Care Guide

So you love your new cuff bracelet and are now wondering how to care for it. First let’s talk about the material your bracelet is made with. My sister and I use the highest quality, commercial grade food safe aluminum for our bracelet blanks. Over the years we have used several manufacturers, but, the bracelet blanks we use now are by far the best out of them all.

This is why we love them:

  1. Our cuff bracelets are tumbled and completely deburred.

  2. They are made out of 12 gauge aluminum meaning they are very durable and strong.

  3. They are 100% made in the USA.

  4. Our bracelets have rounded edges which makes the bracelet more comfortable to wear.

  5. They are lightweight and have a nice shine.

  6. We source our blanks from a small business and we love supporting them!

We often get asked the question if this is a safe metal to use if you have metal sensitivity or allergies?

The answer is YES!!! Aluminum does not contain nickel or lead and is actually a better choice than sterling silver when it comes to metal allergies. PLUS, it will not tarnish!!! Or turn your wrist green. Yuck. The only negative is that Aluminum can slowly corrode over time when consistently exposed to water. So, we highly suggest that you do not wear your bracelet while swimming or showering.

How do you store your bracelet when you’re not wearing it?

As with any jewelry, it’s very important to keep your bracelet clean and dry. As far as where to store your bracelet, if you wear it every day, keep it out on your nightstand, dresser, jewelry stand, or tuck it away in a drawer until you are ready to wear it again. The key is to store it in a place that is free from humidity. If you get your bracelet wet, just dry it thoroughly and it should be just fine. And finally, believe it or not, there is a right way to put on your cuff bracelet and a wrong way.

  1. When you put your bracelet on, turn your wrist to the side and slide the opening of the cuff bracelet over the side of your wrist.

  2. Should you need to tighten your cuff bracelet, never squeeze from the top!!! This will give it a domed look and misshape your bracelet. Instead, flip your wrist over so that you are looking at the ends of the bracelet.

  3. To tighten, gently press in on the ends of the bracelet until you get the desired fit.

  4. When it’s time to remove the bracelet, simply reverse the process.
